Akzo Nobel NV was granted a patent for a water soluble or dispersible polyamine with primary amino groups, average MW 200-20,000, useful as a crosslinking agent. It is obtained by reacting polyepoxide with an amino compound having active H atoms and then converting the remaining epoxy groups with ammonia. Waterborne coating compositions are claimed.
